More of Him and Less of Us

Do we truly trust Christ? Have we surrendered all our lives fully to Him? Paul was a man who had achieved many accomplishments in his life. For all intents and purposes he could have enjoyed a long carefree life as a Jewish religious leader. But, he met Jesus while on his way to fulfill what he thought was of God. It may be that what you have been doing in life is bringing peace but not fulfillment. You think that all is well and you don't want to shake things up because of how they might turn out.

Paul was a man who was fully committed to what he believed. While a Pharisee, he was one of the most devoted, as a christian he became the epitome of self-less devotion. Consider his words in (Philippians 3:8More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord).

He was fully devoted to all things, CHRIST, this was his revelation. Because of this he gave all that he had for the gospel, even eventually his life. I go back to my original question, have we surrendered our lives fully to Him? As we begin this week let us consider ways in which we can surrender ourselves to our Lord. We start by little things, maybe committing to spend more time in His word, or spending two minutes in prayer concentrating on praising Him instead of making requests. Once we commit to making these things a priority in life we will find our attitudes and our desires begin to become more for Him, and less about us.
