What We Believe
About the Godhead
We believe in one God that exists in three persons, Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. All three being identical in nature and co-equal in power and glory. We believe all three are eternal, having always existed and will always be.
About Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is the only son of God, and is co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless life making him qualified to be the perfect sacrifice for all mankind on the cross of Calvary. He arose from the dead after three days having power over death, Hell, and sin.He ascended to the right hand of the Father in Heaven, and will return at the appointed time for his church.
About the Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is co-equal with God the Father and God the Son. He makes men aware of there need for Jesus Christ, and lives in the heart of every Christian from the moment of salvation. He gives the Christian power for living and guidance for making right choices, while providing gifts for spiritual growth in the body of Christ.
About Baptism
We believe baptism is immersion of a believer in water as an act of obedience to the command of Jesus Christ after a profession of faith. We believe baptism is symbolic of a believer's death to sin, burial of the old man, and the resurrection to newness of life.
About the Scriptures
We believe the Holy Bible was written by men who were inspired by the Holy Spirit, and is God's revelation of himself to mankind. It has God as it's author, and without error, perfectly unified from Genesis to Revelation. The scripture is given for doctrine, reproof, correction, and for instruction in righteousness, making the Christian individual whole in his personal and public life.
About Salvation
We believe salvation is the gift of God to any person who repents of their sins, and asks for God's forgiveness and grace. Man is justified by his faith, and redeemed by the work of Jesus Christ, through the grace of God. Salvation is not earned by good works, it is only realized through grace. We believe that while salvation is not a gift earned by works neither can it be lost by works, making it totally dependent upon God and is secure for eternity.
