Why Church

10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Why Church? Have you ever tried to talk to someone about church, only to have them say, I'm saved but I really don't see the need to go to church. I find we run across this a lot when we invite people to church, and it is understandable to some extent because of the accessibility to the Gospel today. Most of us really don't know how to respond when we face these people so I have compiled a list that may be useful the next time you invite, or talk to someone about coming to church.

1.  Fellowship.....This is the closeness that is shared between people who spend time with and around each other, or connections are made

2.  Encouragement.....I realize we can get encouragement from books, music, t.v., radio, etc...but books can't look you in the eye with sincerity when you need to be uplifted, music has a greater impact when you are in the environment where it is being played, t.v. and radio give general encouragement, while church family gives personal based on your individual situation, and needs

3.  Service.....God has placed a desire in everyone of us to serve, church attendance gives us the opportunity to use our gifts in a particular area for which it is needed, so that we can be filled, and fulfil our purpose or calling

4.  Community.....We are all a product of our environment, and we are influenced by people and surroundings, this all plays a part in our quality of life

5.  Motivation.....Church helps us stay motivated through personal Bible study, one on one training, and various programs designed to keep us going

6.  Growth.....Only in a church setting can I really measure how far I have come based on my response to different situations, this is where I have the opportunity to find someone tried and true to tutor me in righteousness

7.  Accountability.....When I attend church regularly then, my demeanor will testify to my current position with the Lord. Meaning I have people who will not judge me, but  who will hold me accountable for what I say and what I do

This is only a small portion of all the benefits from regular church attendance, but the bottom line is WE NEED EACH OTHER...No man is an island, and joy in life only comes from relationships, and the right relationships. So the next time somebody tells you I don't need to go to church give an answer with renewed fervor, and let them know just how important church life really is.....
